it's not you, it's me

ok, maybe it's a little you. comments do motivate a gal! anyway, if bart simpson had a blog, he would be at the chalkboard writing..."i will not blog if i don't have anything to say". yeah i haven't really had much to say. but i have been thinking of you! and today, although I am topic-less. I have a clean house and a napping soon to be 3 year old. so isn't that in itself worth a post? yeah baby, it's cleaning day and Dennis, Marisol and her other rather unfriendly pal were all here to clean up the house. im not ashamed. i am most definitely, domestically challenged. just like the cocktail napkins that irene gave me said. in fact, if we were to have to reexamine our budget to get some items paid off... i think I can stop drinking ISSE's sodas and ben & jerry's before I would say buh-bye to my gals. of course, since every other Monday night, when I have to prepare for the "cleaning ladies", by running around the house pre-bathtime gathering all the crap that got out of place in the last two weeks... stevenjr must pick up on my anxiety/ expectant bliss... as soon as he sees their van pull up in the morning -he starts shrieking "THE CLEANING LADIES ARE HERE!!!" and runs around the house until they ring the doorbell. that's ok, right? i mean, they are cleaning ladies, but why am i embarrassed for him to call them that to their face? ugh. I wonder if i can get social security benefits for being domestically disabled. that could subsidize our budget... yeah and going back to work, that is another idea.

so i never did post - but our trip to NAPLES Florida. WAS FAN-FFFFFing-TASTIC. babymoon, honeymoon, beachymoon... whatever you call it, it was awesome and needed. we actually got to hang out without thinking about a diaper or an egg allergy!!!! we stayed at the edgewater hotel and beach club. oceanfront! it was so sweet. i highly recommend that place. we sat under umbrellas, i read all my beach chicklit novels, drank water and steve did sudoku and drank gin & tonics. we totally fit in with the retired over 60 set! and the other set were massachusetts mom & dads with 2.1 children overtaking the pool. it was nice, and no one really bothered me! which is amazing for being with the public for 5 days. it was prime people watching. i listened to tons of beach chat and played "nanny or mommy?" with steve. that was fun. I almost dropped my book when I heard a 5 year old boy call for his mommy when we had already completely put her in the nanny box. man, she was a knockout and totally didnt look like a tired-rundown-flabby-mommy. i almost went up and told her, but then decided i had been out of massachusetts too long, if i was contemplating chatting with a stranger. with my maternity suit on - no less!

so here we are in VA- getting ready to celebrate stevenjr's 3rd bday. it's pretty nutso. 3. THREE years ago - i popped him out and Im 3 months away from popping another one out. YYYIIIIKES. our backyard is being prepared for a new playset and now that the tree men are gone and the sound of global-warming has ceased, we are ready to have a fun backyard... i guess i need to go plant a tree for the 4 that were removed. is it a 1-1 facotr for replacement? or can a dead tree actually be good for the environment.

latest cravings: thin crust pizza from pie-tanza- with spinach and ricotta. SMORES. and you bet the fixins are in my pantry.
