ok. so its been a while but let's not rehash the past. We are freshly unpacked from our Christmas odyssey. We go to Williamsburg for about 4-5 days and then come home to VA unpack/repack then head to western mass for the new years celebration with the northerners. each and everytime we cross from NYC to CT I feel my heart warm. I just miss New England. I love small towns and this whole VA "county" life just doesn't feel right. It is so nice even as the massholes wizz by me in the slow lane and cut me off. warm and fuzzy people! My nephew Jared is in his second year of hockey which means now they actually scrimmage for 15 minutes. TOO hilarious. I thought it was time for Steven jr to see an ice rink in action so SteveO brought Steven jr to see Jared play. apparently at the end of the scrimmage - steven jr managed to run on the ice and while my brother tried to carry him off he was SCREAMING "I WANT TO PLAY HOC-KEY". now if that didn't just melt my soccer heart. but like I said - he can play whatever sport he wants - he's just got to be great. I know this means i am destined for a sculptor but so what. We drove home from Wilbraham at 6:30am on NEW YEARS DAY. yeah. while everyone was sleeping off their hangover - we were hauling serious A down 91 and 95. it rocked. NO ONE is driving at that hour. going over the George Washington Bridge all alone is so SWEET! highly recommend such a day.

a couple things to mention: i love the writer's strike and i hope it keeps up for a bit. I have been able to catch up on my SLEEP ! and TIVO! sweet. and it has allowed me to watch full seasons of ON DEMAND shows that i would ordinarily skip.hours to western mass:8.5, hours back to VA:6, months without a post: 4.
