woo. where has the time gone? who knows. the lazy days of summer caught up with me and now im back. so the trip to seattle was good. here is a pic of steven in his pjs at his great grandmothers nursing home. he was a total toddler celeb with the elder set. we survived the whole 4 legged roundtrip flight sequence. And carrying a huge toddler Britax carseat through 4 airports is not fun. There is one lucky lady out there in Dallas, lucky to still have her life i mean. she had some snazzy device that i later found in the skymall catalog which was just a simple metal frame, that you put the monster carseat on and voila. rolling stroller! such a brilliant idea that i was upset i didnt make one myself. so instead i stood in shock as i watched this woman push her perfectly behaved little darling past us. the model of efficiency. meanwhile, i was schlepping an umbrella stroller, soft cooler, backpack, laptop, camera bag and toy/snack duffel. One surefire hit was of course: the thomas the engine roller bag. steven just loved to be part of the roller world. so after i dismounted him onto the jet way out of his stroller, i would hand him the thomas bag and say "follow daddy". so that was the secret. until we hit an empty seat in first class, where he ditched the bag and hopped into the seat next to the startled busin
ess man. "AHHH" is what came out of his mouth as his arms stretched out to the armrests. lots of chuckles and a few "he has good taste" comments while i herded him out of the seat and began the walk of shame to the economy class. but the real pisser was that i did have enough miles to have a free seat in first class. but just ONE. arg. so we survived and the trip was great fun. we got to portland to see ash and lance which was as always a great time. and who knew that fisher-price should make a toddler walker to mimic the one great-gma was pushing! matches his shoes! major!!
