ok. man, i have been glued to the tv watching the reports of the campus shooting. it is so awful, i just feel so sad for everyone involved. but i also feel sick seeing the almost joyous excitement that these loser daytime newscasters have reporting their up to the minute non-important speculations. they almost can't hide it. like a kid at christmas with all these feelings/reports. auntie kk and i watched from the first news break and then turned off the tv for a few hours, b/c watching the same 15 second shaky video of a rotund cop running with an automatic weapon wasn't worth it. but i have spent more time watching this than other tragedies that have happened during my stay@home-ness. which only makes me feel sad. in other news, we went to a playdate last monday where steven decided to pick up kenny's pacifier off the floor and pop it in his mouth. at the time, i thought it was funny, b/c steven never really liked the paci, but then his mom looked at me with this concerned face. "uh, he has a cold." and it was like i could see the CSI-style germs infecting steven's body when i looked over at kenny's mug and saw TWO streams of gross green gook coming out. OOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW. i was so disgusted. so like clockwork, stevenjr got sick on friday. ugh! steveO has declared that at all future playdates, as soon as i see a sicko, i grab stevenjr and run for the door. so that's the new plan. we didn't do too much during auntie's visit, but we did get out to the National ZOO. woo! it was fun, i love the zoo. especially since I became a FONZ member and now get free parking. and if you were ever feeling slightly down on yourself for your current weight loss program failures...I HIGHLY suggest an afternoon at the zoo, where you will see ALL shapes and sizes. thus returning you to a happy place, b/c really, you aren't THAT bad. days til first soccer game of the spring season:4. weeks since i last played: 2.
