ok. i know they didn't do it just for me. but i thought it every time i went to harris teeter. these people need new carts! so imagine how excited i was to go there today and see all new shiny carts. new clips, new plastic bumpers... one note: the child seat is really shallow, which is weird. i mean stevenjr is not even 2 yet but for sure there is no way i am letting him roam free any time soon in the grocery store. he would dismantle every display and shelf in the joint. i look at those parents walking around the aisles with their little girls all pink and well-behaved, wow. THAT.WOULD.NEVER.HAPPEN.WITH.ME. it's spring break here in fairfax county. when you don't have a kid in school it doesn't mean a thing... except that my moth er's da y o ut program was cancelled for the week and i didn't think of it until AFTER i had prepared a milk, a juice, sliced grapes, made a nice cheese sandwich and filled the ice bags. arg. i was ready to start the day at 9am and nowhere to go! but apparently it is a reason for all these family vacations. i dont remember spring break being a big deal. until of course i got to college when {shannon} and i had to drive the 36 hours to go visit {erotp} in KEY WEST florida. this was way before they had a MTV real world there. that was my only true spring breaker trip and first time snorkeling . erotp had scabies, or what we thought was scabies until she found out she was getting a rash from the disgusting keg taps at the restaurant she worked at. and she chased spring breakers out into the parking lot after they stiffed on the tip after running her ragged. wow! you go girl. anyway, i dont have much to report today, unless you think 80 degrees on your thermometer is noteworthy. sorry massachusetts people. spring has sprung in DC! and tonight i have a scrimmage planned so i get to get out and play soccer tonight! yeehaw. deck. almost complete. railings still needed. btw- mia and nomar named their girls- ava and grace. not saying anything, but grace garciaparra is a little too double g,r,a,c for me. but hey, i had a lot of rules when it camed to naming jr and jr wasn't one of them. clipped coupons tendered at the teeter: 18.80, days til easter: 5, plastic eggs purchased: 18.
