not that kinda housecall
ok. so yesterday was one of those days where im pretty convinced im losing my mind, and can hardly believe i received a high school diploma much less a BS from a university. but i had my first allergy appt in like 3 years. it was a sad occasion b/c i was also convinced that pregnancy had actually cured me of my daily allergies(not the cat one- just the dust/mold/tree one). I didn't have a refill of meds in years. but lately, life has been difficult to breathe and i gotta face it, im back in full allergy force. since i haven't been to this office in three years, after I made the appt i googled the address. i didn't really look at it, just quickly jotted it down and ran to the car and plugged it in my StreetPilot. did i mention i didnt look at it? so im driving and following what StreetPilot says. I get off at exit 52B from the outerloop, and it does cross my mind that i would have thought of taking an exit further down, but you know StreetPilot knows best. so i drive and i notice im heading toward fairfax, which still raises some eyebrows, but StreetPilot knows best. then im curving down some neighbor street and the houses are large and seperated by nice large lawns. and i notice that I'm NOT in an office complex. I'm at a house. yeah. I drove to the freaking DOCTOR's actual residence. can you believe i googled his name and instead of the office, it gave me his home address? yeah, F'ed. so i call the office. "hi, i googled the address and im in a neighborhood, im at oak forest dr." pause. receptionist: "who IS this?". me laughing: "haha, this is peekay I have an 11am appt and i googled the address for the office and it led me here." receptionist: "you are at his home, but luckily, HAHAH, he lives close to the office."
so she gives me the address, i plug it in and show up at the office, feeling like the biggest dork. and now i know where to go if my zyrtec/flonase/albuterol cocktail fix fails me. prescriptions to fill: 3, peak flow meter reading: 450, what it was 3 years ago: 510.
