bookfight club
ok. so I know I have been in suburbia for a long time, when i find myself signing up for a bookclub. get this, with strangers. yeah i joined this F all s Ch urch moms club and they happen to have a form you fill out with all these possible activities on it. so i Xed the box with a bookclub, more for the goodies/wine than the reading. i mean, i don't know if its age or childbirth, but I can't remember anything. so how im supposed to read a book and then discuss it with women i don't know. when did i think this was a good idea? the funny part, is that the first meeting is next tuesday the 16th and we have to come with a few suggestions. hmmm, i wonder how beckham's autobiography will go over? and since i have no idea what these other moms are like, i will probably bring some benign best seller to the table that i can purchase the cliff notes for. do they still sell the cliff notes for books or just classics? so what i am saying here, is that i need two good suggestions neither to insult/scare these unsuspecting women. please people, help a peekay out.
and while we are on the topic of doing things for 2007. a bookclub was not on my list. nothing was actually, except maybe breed another angel. but im not making any promises here. how much time should a parent actually devote to turning their 19 month old into an ALL-AMERICAN? maybe a pregnancy would get in the way of those precious off-season training sessions?
i will work on blogging more about soccer this year too b/c it's a women's world cup year, and i just know all the businesses and governments out there are going to be shutting down for this grand affair. or is all that just happening in my second life? days til 1st indoor game: 1, teams I belong to:3, clubs I belong to:2.
