lifestyles of the filthy rich(no pun intended)
ok. so we returned from our most fabulous awesome 5 day vacation in Colorado @ Beaver Creek. the beav. it was INCREDIBLE. My cousin's wedding was amazing. The level of detail she went to was - insane. Gift bags everyday. breakfast at the Ritz EVERYDAY. a blacktie dessert reception, a rehearsal dinner at a Vail restaurant - Pepi's($$$), wedding on top of Bachelor Gulch in Zach's Cabin. Sleigh ride up the mountain and a paid day of skiing. hello. it was soo nice. we lived it up large. i kicked off the credit card sewage with a $16 glass of wine. GEEZ! I dont even pay $16 for a bottle. yum, it was good. overpriced? yes! fun? NO DOUBT. it was great, and being the total forgetful parents we are- we even FORGOT to call to check in one day. woops! more wine for mommy!! anyway, steve brought his camera up the mountain one day so you will be treated with a few pics of me, in my james bond's posse style. And I am breaking my anonymity to post ski pics, b/c you can hardly see me anyway. We did 2 days of skiing instead of the planned 3, because...we are getting old, people! i was very sore from all that skiing and once again i didnt train hard enough to ski for 3 days. can you even imagine - training for skiing? well, yes, thats what you do when you want to have fun and ski hard over 30. so i barely trained, ate and drank a ton and skiied calmly. it has been about 4 years since my last trip to Colorado when we sampled Brekenridge/Vail/A-Basin with Shannon and some guy who shall remain nameless. So now i am rejuvenated and am looking forward to any ski vacation that comes my way. the condo we stayed in (ski-n/ski-out) was being sold for $4.5 million, think we can get about 450 of our closest friends and buy it? who's in people!?!!! I mean when i break it down to $10k each, doesn't it seem like a total deal? I think I can find 9 people and if 45 of us each find 9 takers. we can totally do this!!!! see, a little simple math and hey, you can be a million dollar home owner. and guess what? hot chocolate with bailey's irish cream is an amazing way to enjoy a hot tub after a hard day on the slopes. did i mention the marshmallows you can toast at the ritz's fire pit? did i mention, walking out the main door of the condo and SKIING DOWN to the chair lift? see, you want to do it. we can achieve anything with 450 people!!! hitches with the flights: 0, terrain open while we skiied: 42 %, terrain open 3 days after we left: 85%.
