court jester
ok. i will get my day in court. yah yah! today i filed my paperwork to sue our floor man for the $1800 we paid him to install a floor. but he decided to have his non-english speaking crew(making it difficult for me to converse with) ruin it and walk away. so we are taking him to small claims court! august 4th is our day in fairfax county court. woo woo. then since we were out that way and its like 120 degrees outside, i took steven jr to george mason u to get some tshirts and a pennant. it felt really strange, in a good way, to walk around a campus. i felt nostalgic. i looked at the people with their backpacks and papers all looking so very intellectual. it even crossed my mind that maybe I should go get a masters degree. then the devil on my shoulder, started laughing so hard, she fell right off into the smoking tube thing on my way into Johnson Center. Ok, so maybe i was NOT the best student, maybe I was one of the worst EVER, but one that graduated, so that is something. it was fleeting moment of academia in my mind, and guess what i was really kinda excited about the prospect. soooooooo, after purchasing $95 of mason paraphenalia, which is so dumb considering steveO has absolutely NO school spirit, we made it back to the car before melting. my plan is to buy a ton of pennants and fill the basement with them. so far i only had dc united and the orioles. i need a umass, redskins, red sox, and nationals pennant and i will be happy. not a tall order. so when bball season hits town, we are so going back to the patriot center for their weeknight games. well maybe not with a toddler, but at least we will all have shirts. i came home to a wonderful summer day at our mailbox: THREE netflix movies! woohoo. weight watchers day: 5, rage level: 0, new sheet set's thread count: 600.
