british birthday boy bash
ok. so stevenjr attended his first official kids birthday party friday afternoon, and it was with a bunch of brits no less. ethan turned 2 and invited about 22 kids from the british embassy and you better believe we were there to see how its done across the pond. this was no ordinary backyard party though, they had like 15 play "stations" for the kids to run to, baby pools, tonka trucks, big pool, lil tykes cars, coloring, you name it. and if you decided to play "where's the american" stevenjr did a better job than waldo ever did. all you had to do was look for the one child RUNNING through the grass at top speed YELLING "AHHHHHH", in a very excited american way. i did in fact see 3 children look in horror to see what was wrong with this crazy kid. but its called living life and he was certainly doing it. we stuck around to watch "pass the parcel" which is like musical chairs, without the chairs. you basically sit in a circle and PASS a wrapped present until the music stops and then you win. this mom was inclusive so she individually wrapped about 15 hackisacky type balls into one large PARCEL so all the kids ended up winning. you know, the type of town where they dont allow dodgeball.
saturday was another first for stevenjr as he attended his first all ages show. it was ROCK N ROMP time and I finally got to see the-positions live! they were great as expected and it was alot of fun, stevenjr brought 2 dates elia and sophia. hopefully we started a few new indie rockers on their path to musical freeness. the kids dancing in front of the stage was absolutely awesome. especially the little blondie who did a nice zombie dance when he saw areseven. that was too funny!
sunday was all about the us women beating the piss out of ireland. they had a great win, but it is still a new team and im nervous for 2007. it all seemed so college play to me. That Kai has a mada$$ tattoo crawling down her arm. holy ink!!! lbs lost at week 2: .8, bowls of fresh salsa:3, nights of wine drinking:6.
