peekay-a-boo
ok. so we returned to northern va saturday night. the back to work blues kicked in officially this morning when steveO went off to work and me and the little man were left on our own. the week on the outerbanks was AWESOME. so incredibly beautiful. there were many hands for helping so meals/coffee/cocktails/babysitting was all covered. reminded me of the commune living week in Ocean Point last summer. 12 sets of hands are definitely better than 1! the weather was amazing. steven jr had his first real swim in the pool, with his new suits, new nemo hat, new swimmy crab floatie thing and sunglasses. he is a water bug. even in the unheated pool! not sure what exactly made his skin breakout 3 different ways, could've been the sunscreen, the cake frosting(oh yeah i mean the $75 bday cake for j-bomb), or the measles shots received before vacation. and that brings up yet another thing that i am here to teach you all- always schedule immunizations TWO weeks before a vacation. NOT 4 days before you leave. oh well. nothing benadryl/motrin/tylenol/pediacare didnt solve. i ended up catching whatever it was that jbomb was passing around, after steven jr and before steveO. days in DUCK: 7, days tennis was played:2, average drinks per day: 3, days off of drinking: 1, days ice cream was involved: 4, pounds gained: 4.
