ok. im here im here, in wilbraham mass at my brother's place for a few nights before i make my way back to the DC metro area. i left home a week ago and it seriously feels like a 100 years ago. i had all these great plans to blog my thoughts on world cup mania, but i am very nervous and a bit DEpressed about it. thankfully, i didn't actually watch the US get crushed by checker republika. poo! instead, i listened to the game on XM radio. did i already mention my love? yah. let me tell you, a loss feels a LOT better over the radio. ow. the game against italia was also so messed up. On the Vineyard, i actually left my niece Phoebe's championship softball game to get back to the beach house in time to see a crazed red rum card game. (i don't really like softball and she was not playing on the field for the last few innings, and they were winning like 10-1, so im not that bad.) we stayed at my dad's high school buddy's house in edgartown, about a 5 block walk to downtown. steven jr got heat rash so bad that his little body is riddled with red dots. its so sad really. i actually went to chappy and saw the TED K bridge. never went to chappy before b/c no one said there was anything to see but my dad scored us some tix for this very cool lighthouse tour. in an open air truck bed, and i held steven in my arms as we drove over the sand. i had my very own britney moment. booya. and in case anyone is wondering, a ghost spoke to me today. as i tried 3 times to close the very squeaky window in our bedroom at this very cool OLD OLD house we stayed in, i heard a very distinct child's voice quietly say "that's my room". nope, i didn't get that window closed. cost of new reef's: 24, claire murray rugs purchased: 2, black dog loungewear purchased: 2, father's day men celebrated: 4.
