cherry blossom popping momma
ok. last friday, auntie kk and i took the little man down to the tidal basin
(here he is in his stroller.) to see the cherry blossoms. um, i mean the cherry blossom buds. woops, didn't really listen to the bud reports. so we popped into the TJ memorial to pay some respects to J-DAM's hero. anyone with a $5k wine bill during his first presidential year, rocks my vote. i may have to write him in for the 2008 election when W gets the term limits extended. you know he wants to. so today i was thinking we would wake as a family and head into the city to see the real blossoms in their cotton candy awesomeness. but little man woke up at 5am AGAIN and my allergy head was pounding, we were off to a rough start. so out the window go the blossoms. tomorrow outdoor soccer starts, and i am way excited. i even bought a cool new $30 ball to start the season. the problem is that the game is at 8:30am. which is actually 7:30am b/c tomorrow we set the clocks back. why can't we set the clocks back at 2pm? that would make my life so much better. so doing some simple math, i determine that i need to leave the house at 7:50am, wake up at 7am and this all means it's really 6am. woo. i think i need to go to bed right now to get a headstart. shout-out to CUV for setting me up with the piece of paper which allowed me to see the mason team beat UCONN! woooooooohoooooooooooo!!!! hours til george mason rocks the final four: 7, soccer games in the netx two days: 3, days til i go to martha's vineyard to see my nieces in a musical: 5.
