Let's go MASON, Let's GO!
ok. i know it has been a while but a lot has happened. first off, after believing we didn't get the tickets to the sweet 16/elite 8 games at the MCI center in DC, steve booked a geek conference in orlando. then the mci box office calls and asks why i havent paid for our tix yet! WHAT?! so we get the tix and steve changes his return flight to friday. THEN we find out george MASON,(steve's alma mater) is in the sweet 16 but he can't get back in time. so i do my first EBAY auction!!! wooohooo. i sold the friday night tix to the uconn/washington and GMU/wichita state for $326!!! (to a GMU fan to boot) woohoo. not the $1000s i had dreamed of, but so what, it paid for more than all 3 games so now we can go for free on sunday! then we find out GEORGE MASON is in the elite 8! woooooohooo. so very exicted! then they actually BEAT UCONN!!! it was sooooo awesome. college basketball is now my second favorite spectator sport(next to soccer, of course). i cheered my a$$ off, as if i was a fellow alum! woooooohoooooo. it was so fun.
our funny back story about the GMU squad is that about 3 years ago, when we lived in fairfax, sharondarella used to set us up with these sweet tix to the george mason home bball games courtesy of COKE. complete with alumni club food and drink!woohoo. back in those days, they were few fans(and NO yellow wigs!!) and the team was barely passing as a good high school team. The pace was SLOOOOW. JAI Lewis was just a baby then, but now he is a grown player!

seriously, my hands were red from clapping at the end of the game. position in tourney bracket as of saturday: 1, how much i thought i won: $700, position as of tonight:4.
