day care provider for 2 hours
ok. since we last spoke, i had to do my MOPS volunteer duty and work 2 hours at the other groups meeting and care for children. i was in the 20-24 month class. it was way fun, but kinda weird. i dropped steven off with the little babies and headed to my group. caroline(2) was really cute, and she had very cool paisley pants on. the designer kind from soome cool shop in georgetown(not the kind i had in kindergarten with patched knees). mary grace(4, but was there with her mom and sister who is 2) also felt compelled to walk up to caroline and announce to her and everyone that she just really LOVED her red pants. i was cracking up. meanwhile, caroline could have cared less what anyone had to say, her hair was in a ponytail ON THE TOP of her head. she was very cute, did i mention this. all of this reinforced my need to have a baby girl. they are so cute. not that boys aren't -but girls wear pink. other runner-ups for cuteness, preston- who decided to curl up to me and murmur about his mommy. paul - who had these gorgeous blue eyes and eyelashes to die for!

so oscar oscar, whatev, this year i wasn't that excited b/c i had a soccer game at 10pm so i knew i was going to miss a lot. but what i didnt know, was that i was going to kick a$$. seriously, i scored 4 goals. the first 2 of the game. and what will go down in the history books as the FASTEST goal scored by peekay after a restart. at the half we came on the field down 2-5. we gave ourselves a pep talk at half and decided to up the volume. so the other team starts the half with a passback to this girl, i run up to her as she attempts to pass the ball to a teammate and i step on the pass, dribble past her and shoot a hard lower left corner shot that the goalie didn't have time to blink, much less raise her arms. NOTHIN BUT NET. so it was a sweet start to the second half. not to bore you, but we won 9-8. which means after scoring only 2 in the first half we scored 7 in the second. awesome. it was really good to feel like i mattered. this was for you june carter cash and reese. we matter, we really matter now! seconds to score goal: 5, soccer games this week: 4.
