OLYMPITS
ok. there is something about this year's winter games that is making me feel bad about myself. Not that I really need extremely motivated, talented and fit athletes to make me feel like a slug, it's just that * I * wish *I* was in Turin participating. so I am mourning my lost hockey years. You see, I had all the makings of being on the US women's team, IF WE HAD ONE WHEN I WAS 12. Both my brothers played growing up and so I had the built in older brother factor, which I swear is what ALL these girls in Turin have. And I really always LOVED playing street hockey, and in elementary gym class I was picked for teams before most boys. and so you see, I have been watching all these games wishing I had my shot. The beauty is that my nieces are 11 and 13 and ARE playing hockey for the Martha's Vineyard girls team- Phoebe is going to tryout for varsity her freshman year. AHHH, I will have to settle for living vicariously through their accomplishments. GO VINEYARD!!!!
and another thing, HOW COME all these women's hockey games are being broadcast? I mean LIKE every game is on NBC,UNIHD, CNBC or USA. Not that I am complaining, my point is that the 2004 summer olympics women's soccer games were HARD to find on TV. And if you were lucky to find a game it was only ever the US. Not ALL the countries. But hockey is an equal viewing extravaganza for all countries!!! What is up with that?
btw mary mary, curling IS on tv, you gotta switch to CNBC, I have seen this wacked out sport and guess what, if you don't know the rules, it is better watched with illegal substances. Then and only then will it make sense without the benefit of a rule book. Stammers¹ take notice.
¹ this is what spellchecker prefers over stoners.
USA hockey goals vs the Swiss misses: 6, goals I could have scored if the super peek was there: 3. # of hats that would have been tossed onto the ice: 34.
