ok. i am very very touched by the response I am seeing to my notice post. Some bloggers have gone on a blogroom blitz and it feels good to read my bloglinks with new updates! and of course, once the pot calls the kettle on speed-dial, the pot relaxes and take a break from posting. sawry! but, but, but my parents are in town so i do have my excuses. seriously, i have been waiting on them hand and foot! cooking, cleaning up after them and letting my father hog the remote. then they left after 5 days to visit my aunt in NC, ahh but today they returned and things are a bit different. My dad found a new SUDOKU book and let's just say this apple doesn't fall far from the tree. he has taken over my OFFICE(spot on couch nearest to table lamp). he is in a word- OBSESSED. He rarely speaks and will only look up at the mention of dinner. And after I took him out for his birthday dinner tonight, he asked me to stop by a staples or office max. Um, what does a retired engineer on vacation need with an Office supply store at 7pm on a Monday night? guess. try again. he wanted a MECHANICAL PENCIL to continue his SUDOKU training. he had been using mine and he used ALL the lead and killed the eraser and I didn't have any refills. so check this out. We spent 20 minutes in staples discussing the PROS/CONS of lead sizes(.5mm,.7mm or .9mm- he went with .7mm and later regretted not going with the superfine .5mm) eraser sizes, finger grippers, and brands(cheap vs pricey). So after all the choices were reviewed and scrutinized- he went with my brand. The 2005 PENTEL .7mm - blue. highly recommended by peekay and now also the sponsor for peekay's poppa. We are a pencil people.
and as for the curling sensation that i dare say NBC has created singlehandedly by having it on 24-7 - i really didn't know that the USA had sisters on the team. i am a real idiot, i just kept wondering why sometimes the blonde had a brown spot on her face and then it was gone, then it was back. steveO was like, there are 2 sisters on the team. WOOPS! so i had to investigate on their website to see if they were twins. they aren't. goals scored in 1st indoor game after 2 week break:1, goals allowed during my 35 minute stint in net:0, final score: 9-7.
