wtf
ok. not sure where my blog went...but a quick publish and i seem to be back in business. Happy 1st Birthday Caroline! it was yesterday but my blog has been acting up so it will be posted today! Crazy to think that she is 1! I should get out and walk today but I have a dull headache which i will blame on Breyers. I certainly cant take the blame for 2 for 1 ice-cream deals. and since i am the head of household shopping i need to be in the harris teeter surrounded by sales and oh what do we have here but a LARGE M&M coupon. i gotta try it. so im trying to figure what to make for dinner. then i need to go to the store. see? busy day!
if i was playing by the rules I would be at my 4th day of work post maternity leave. but i convinced steveO that maternity leave is a state of mind that i plan to be in for a while. so I am not returning to work. my former company cant fire me now so i will feel free to discuss its shortcomings. like how as a female employee i had to have a NOTE from my DOCTOR explaining how birth control pills are a necessity! is that the most ridiculous idea you have ever heard of? yeah, so let me see, a prescription of pills $8/month times 12 months a year times 4 years of employment versus the $5k to have a baby + maternity benefits. well geez, im not a rocket scientist (my father-in-law is), but simple math has been something I excelled at. Well, I guess an HR department would know how to handle these situations and since I don't have a degree in HR then who am i to judge. oh wait, neither do they!
now i need to trudge into the office and get all of my mia hamm soccer paraphernalia. plus this baby doesn't take formula or any bottle so i can't exactly be responsible for starving the child! i will post a pic from vacation later so you can see how cute he is. i need to go watch ellen. days til 1st saturday soccer game: 2, scoops constituting a bowl:4.
