duck duck goose
ok. we are back from Duck, NC. let's just say that the weather was beautiful. like really. couldn't have asked for anything better. well maybe if it had hi-speed internet like i thought it did! i even got some sun by the pool. it was so awesome. we played texas hold 'em every night and i even won some ca$h. although steveO tells me if we played by the rules i wouldn't have won so much. i have a simple problem with not knowing the best hand and i call the worst one but they took pity on my and let me win. it was fun. plus I ordered a cake from our wedding cake lady. I called her and told her i needed a cake for 20. even though we were only 6. oops. so i get there to pick up the cake $55 out of my pocket and this MONSTER cake comes back to the house with us. i think it might have served like 40. easily. we were triumphant and ate half of it. on thursday 3 of the group had a slab for lunch and went into a sugar coma resulting in 3 hour naps. buttercreamy! to say i got my moneys' worth is an understatement! days in duck: 7, slices of cake eaten: 6, pounds gained:5
