no hablo espangol.
ok. like at all. I stay up Wednesday night to pump some breast milk while baby is sleeping. I decide to wait about 4 hours past the last feeding so I have a lot to pump. Well, what do I have here but a US Mens National Team World Cup Qualifying game on TV at 12:30am. BUT not all the soccer gods were smiling down at me, just the spanish ones. SO the game is in spanish. Hey, Im just happy the GAME is on! I was so mad to miss the original ESPN2 viewing b/c I HAD IT ON THE CALENDAR. and, um, it was in ENGLISH. I have watched games before on the spanish channels but I was always aware of what was going on. So I miss the first goal in the first minute by my fav McBride. But I dont even know the score b/c telemundo doesn't display it like every other soccer channel. WTF? so all I know is that US is in WHITE and Trinidad and Tobago is in YELLOW. And since I don't know spanish, I don't know the score. Then Taylor "holy hotness" TWELLMAN subs in for McBride. And I think he scores in the 89th minute, thus winning the game. I watch him celebrate and be really cute. So I am like wow, he must be so psyched to win the game as a sub late in the game. Then the screen shows US 1-0 on a Mcbride goal in the 2nd minute. I was so confused. I MUST LEARN SPANISH before the 2006 World Cup. Where should I start? Berlitz? Safeway? The Falls Church library?
