it's all about the timing.
ok. so we got to sears for the 5pm photo shoot. No agents around. baby decided to fall asleep in the car ride over. EVEN THOUGH I sat in the back with him and sang and talked and desperately tried to keep him awake. I had the vision of Clint Eastwood in $1M baby slapping the boxer to keep him alert. Well, there is no power over the carseat, it is a masterful sleeping pill and baby took his sweet time. So a half hour later, I have to wake the little guy up to get him into his first pose, on a white pillow with a white sheer backdrop. He wakes up, blinks his eyes at the bright lights, smiles at me broadly and that's that. NO MORE SMILES. so we spent an hour trying to get a sleepy baby awake enough to smile. One costume change to his nakedness. These are cute ones. We left his diaper on of course. But in the end, I have better pics of baby with my 3.2 megapixel camera. but we did it, b/c i wanted special portraits. I get home from the store and the mail is filled with 3 different stores having baby portrait sales. all for better prices. it's ok. I spent the $100. pictures with a smile:2, total pictures to choose from: 20.
