hallmark is a cult
ok. so i went to the hallmark store with my M-in-law last week and had no idea what was in store for me.(certianly no pun intended) I remembered to buy 2 bday cards for my nieces and then all of sudden i found myself down the "other occassions" aisle and next thing I knew I had 8 cards in my hands. The other day I received a thank you card in the mail and it was so exciting. a card. in the mail! not like another empty inbox day, it was a piece of mail. i was excited and decided to do a little peekay outreach and bought some cards. i could have stayed there forever. the more i looked, the more i found cards that i needed to be sent to people. the categories were all across the board and i was wishing i knew someone that needed a "new car" card. i couldnt really believe it but hallmark actually has a card specific for this "event". my thinking was, hell if they can afford to buy a new card these days then they should be sending ME a card. But I was seriously tempted to send this to my dad b/c in June for the first time in over 45 years he has bought himself a 2005 Toyota Highlander, it is GOLD. don't dare call it tan. Now if you wait that long in your life for a new car then hell yeah you deserve a special hallmark card to celebrate the moment. wow i think i just talked myself into buying it. Now, I see the reason for this specialty card. TO THE MALL!!! hours of sleep I had last night(for no good reason, except i am a slave to baby-free online time): 3
