cradle crapola
ok. so baby's first "issue" in life is baby dandruff, which they call cradle cap. it actually made me feel guilty b/c he has been sleeping in a real deal 41 year old cradle. An heirloom. It's super cool but now I feel like the cradle cap has tainted it a bit. why call it cradle cap? (and while I am at it, what is up with a lullabye that has the baby fall out of a treetop "cradle and all". Im beginning to see a pattern. all things cradle, all things bad.) So failure #1 as new mom is a cap of cradle. ah but the doctor on call tells me the antidote is to apply Olive Oil to his noggin an hour before a bath, then scrub off the skin with a brush. EVOO? Extra Virgin Olive Oil, or can I use some cheap crap? There is no laughter from this doc. Im wondering if he hears it all the time and I'm not nearly as witty as I think I am. I was ok with the application of olive oil, but the scrubbing of the skin seems like something better used at guantanamo bay. eew. on a soccer related note: Brandi CHastain was not asked to return to the US WNT camp and has been pretty much been told she retired. that really sucks b/c I said so. plus she missed the cool retirement she could have had. and its all about the party. When I stop playing soccer. I will throw my self a darn retirement party. you are all invited. BYOC- bring your own cane. hours slept in a row last night: 2.5
