women are back
the mighty women are back
ok. so the US Women's National Team returned to action yesterday with a 1-0 win over France at the Algarve Cup. OF course it wasn't televised. Why didn't Abby score? haha. I must admit it feels weird to read the line-up and not know many of the names. Where the hell was Shannon MacMillan? Arg. I can handle Mia retiring. I can handle it. But it is too strange to me to introduce this band of no-names on a roster for 2005. change is good, change is good. I promise to work on this, but it's so strange. Last week was the first official Women's soccer fantasy camp. I was so excited to read about this last summer, and I was so ready to book my flight to Cali and be there for the week, playing soccer with THE best in the world! It was like it was made for me. Then Paige points out the crushing blow... what if you're pregnant. SHITE. then I would be $2500 out. so I skipped it and for a good reason, i am in fact with child. I hope this baby is worth it. JUST KIDDING! relax, already! Turns out that Mia Hamm was not present at this years Fantasy Camp, so I don't feel THAT horrible about missing it afterall. phew, nothing like regret to ruin a life of adult amateur soccer. weeks pregnant: 31. cartons of ice cream in freezer: 0.
