no snow= no school (huh?)

ok. Kari Doll from chicago would be proud. I made an attempt at an indie pop B&B Saturday night. Minus the Breakfast. Erik and Collin of Shumai fame stayed overnight at casa peekay. I was so tired, I didn’t even wake in time to make them breakfast. They were out the door before 8am... oops. I was happy to find CDs for me and beaner though. Hopefully, their next trip to DC, I will be a better hostess. Kari’s dream in college was to return to Chicago with her HRTA degree and restore an old house to be this very rocking indie rock bed & breakfast, where bands could stay while touring chicago and she would make them a delish breakfast in the am. She had a lot of details worked out too, like safe storage of their gear while they scoured the city for cool record stores and I think she had the décor for each room picked out. it all started after we had superchunk stay at our apartment one weekend they played umass. inches of snow that fell this morning causing most schools to be closed for the day: 0. nights I fell asleep on the couch this weekend: 3.
