inaug day
unhappy inaug day!
ok. today is inauguration day in DC, which is funny since DC didn't elect the W, he isn't even welcome in his own city. I still think that reid, ivan, thea and i did it up right 4 years ago. stood in the cold rain, listened to the speeches like penned-in animals and proceeded past the parade to ESPN Zone where we drank our faces off. truly the only appropriate way for Democrats to celebrate that fateful day.
PROS: easy commute as the gov't is off and many schools are closed. the line at chipotle was non-existant. get to hear stories about the Ball that Soozan and Jimmy went to. a new jibjab video that made me laugh. ONLY four more years.
CONS: um, the person being inaugurated.
commute time(minutes) home from work last night in 3 inches of snow: 63, commute time(minutes) this am with no gov't employees or schools in session: 14.
