bitter sweet victory
damn that vcr
ok. the olympics have come and gone. i got what i wanted. US WNT won the gold medal. I watched all the games leading up to oh-uhm THE most important game of the tournament, and then my vcr decided to do what i told it. i was the idiot. i saw 84 across the room and thought it said 04. so i taped the (hello, the wrong channel) HD version of the olympics and recorded all the previous days events. if that's what i wanted to watch, i would be happy. instead, i have to read about all the wonderful things that happened in the US vs Brazil soccer match. gold medal match. us won. woo. i can rest easy. what i cant rest easy about is that i NEVER saw it. and most likely never will. i dont think this is the kind of thing that NBC will release on DVD. so first im sad, :( then im happy :) . Mia didn't have the best game, from what she said herself, so maybe i was protecting myself from seeing that game. hours recorded in case anything was delayed: 6.
