ok. i got home from 2 soccer games last night and needed a couple hours to wind down before heading to bed. i had some water and a glass of wine and the remote. i flipped right past it and had to go back to see if i saw what i thought i saw. there it was: Flowers in the Attic 11:10pm - 12:50AM. Could this be THE most F'ed up series I ever read? Child abuse, incest, freaky old rich people? all in one children's series? oh yes it is. so i had to stay up and see it all. Unbelievable. They somewhat cut out the incest a little bit, meaning, they blew past the fact that the 4 blondy children locked in the attic were the result of an incestuous relationship between a niece and her uncle. WHAT! They killed the uncle in the beginning of the story anyway, but this is some messed up stuff!!!! I really can't believe that I read all those books. It brought back such vivid memories of summer reading turned dark and disturbing courtesy of VC Andrews. woo.
