Holy new design batman?
ok. I blinked twice just to see if i screwed up my link to amanda's blog. woo. new colors and shapes and font! I wonder if amanda created that font? i still remember the resume she had with a line item stating that she can program her own VCR. me likes her new look on the new blog! did she go to some new blog extreme makeover class? i must follow this up with an email.
so last night my over 30 team played on this new turf field in Arlington, VA. It is a sweet field but it is totally intimidating b/c there are about a zillion people milling around and 80% are latino soccer men waiting for a chance to play some pickup games. so when the league game starts, they all cluster in groups and make comments about the game(thankfully, if they were making fun of me, i dont understand spanish, unless i need a beer and the bathroom), apparently that kind of pressure from the soccer community makes me play like superwoman. now i need to translate that "all the worlds my stage" attitude into the rest of my life. well we only had 10 players and they had 4 subs, and the game ended in a 0-0 tie. i took about 400 shots on goal so i was a bit disappointed and then i had a little incident where my arm flew up and smacked this gal in the face as i spun towards goal and she apparently wasnt too happy with my non-intentional biotch slap so she chased me and 2 arm shoved me from behind. i got the call and a nice direct kick from outside of the box. of course i called for a red card but was told this was only rec league. where are earth do we really need a red card to be handed out but IN a REC league. these bozo ladies NEED to be told that someone headed towards goal should not be shoved to the turf. ah well, i had my day in court and unfortunately my team couldn't convert on the nicely placed floater to the 6 yard line. i want to say that if mia hamm was on this over 30 team, we would of won. i wonder how long nomar will be on the DL? days til vacation: 8.
