Operation 8 hour days
ok. the covert op has been quite a success! I think one day I even pulled a 7 hour day. woops, gotta make that up. So my excuse for no entries last week was really not all that deep. I was plain tired of logging on after I got home. note to self: blog at work! ooh. must remember this. So I had 2 soccer games this past week. My over 30 womens team lost on monday night 3-1. I scored the only goal from my team but it wasnt a pretty game. so much that the people who call it "the beautiful game" might be shocked that it was a league game. what can you do. oh thats right. have fun. yesterday i got up at sparrow fart to play a game in mclean. the game started at 7:45am. eeeouch. we had 9 subs. yes, ridiculous and i think i had one shot on goal. plus a breakaway-gone-bad. i must remember when to release. sooo after the game steve got me to work and we weeded and mowed and cleaned the gutters. I recognized that i must remember to call a lawn service and make appointments in order to get out of this work! merrfield gardens will be on my speeddial. steve needed help on the roof getting the old antenae down, so i went up to help. I knew i was no fear factor contestant, but hell, i am scared of heights. woo! I cant believe that i am the same tomboy who used to climb trees for fun! now im a scaredy-cat. all dirty fingernail tomboys of the world should turn their noses up at me. and i would agree. i would turn my own nose up at myself. i did manage to sneak inside and watch mia hamm and the rest of the womens national team whoop on brazil. 5-1. it was awesome. mia scored a goal and had 3 assists!! rocking!!! sadly shannon macmillan wasnt invited to the game but i was impressed with christie welsh's performance. i cant wait til the olympics!!! must go to get our rings sized... days til i become a mrs: 34.
