Today is Friday! As I'm sure you all remember, our heroine, PeeKay, has been at the beach all week, but she's due to come back tomorrow! I for one, am extremely relieved! This has been an incredible responsibility, posting to her blog. I've had to SPELLCHECK everything before I've posted just in case I put a terrible typo up on the Phlegm Blogger. ;)
So besides eating what else have I done this week?
I have SHOPPED!
Mainly window shopping and browsing on ebay, but shopping is shopping, right? :) I found a spectacular deal at Hecht's the other night ... 3 boxes of the refill wax "pearls" for my Homedics Foot/Hand Wax Spa. (If you don't have one, GET ONE!) My brother bought me one for Christmas last year and I absolutely adore it. The only problem is I've used it so much that I've about run out of wax, and the wax is expensive ... like $17.99 for a 2-lb box (yes, I'm cheap.)
Hecht's had it on sale for $7.99 (plus an extra 40% off) so I ended up getting 3 LOVELY BOXES! :D
From there I moved on to Christmas Ornaments.
Now what kind of person shops for Christmas Ornaments in September? The fanatical kind. :)
I have been shopping prices on several of my favorite collections (Radko, Polonaise, Old World Christmas) because they are cheaper to buy before Christmas season hits. So, there I was on Ebay, shopping for Christmas Ornaments the other day when I saw an item titled "Eat Papa" ... well, sick ass that I am I had to click on it to see what it could POSSIBLY be. Much to my chagrin, I realized I am twisted. Evil-minded and twisted. "Eat Papa" was the skinny Santa (from "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer") who was being bullied by Mrs. Claus to eat, while he fretted that he wouldn't be able to make his Christmas deliveries to all the good girls and boys .. because he didn't know about the Nose Glowing Reindeer who was about to save him from the fog. (Are you with me?) Sooooooooo ... you could say I felt stupid. You'd be right. :)
Okay, that is it for my Friday ramblings. I hear the 5:00 whistle getting ready to blow. I hope PeeKay had a wonderful time at the beach ... she beat the weather odds, which is saying a lot. :) Welcome back, Peekay! Thanks for letting me sit-in on your blog, and I hope I didn't frighten your friends ... heh-heh-heh! ;p
