ok. yesterday morning, when i walked to my dew-covered car, i noticed a small white feather on my door handle. it struck me as odd. and i immediately decided that the white feather must be a sign. An omen from the gods. i looked around my car and i did not see any other feathers... just one white feather on my very blue door handle. i worried about what it could mean. was it good? was it bad? should i return to bed.(always the right answer). what was going to happen on monday? so i did some google searches to find some ideas. 1. "In the past, men who refused to fight in wars were given the white feather from a chicken, a bird which symbolized cowardice. " 2. "A white feather, symbolizing peace, sticks in the ground on the Haindl Four of Swords." well, that info didnt help me. I was either a coward or a peace freak. it wasn't until this morning that i made the connection, the WUSA folded last night. see article here.. I'm really bummed out about this. I know that I only went to one game, but I was an avid tv supporter and i checked the website daily and read all the articles i could every day. i even tried to get all my friends to join the fantasy soccer league for the WUSA. so it was a dark day for me. Hopefully the world cup will produce a huge outcry of corporate support and they will throw money at the league and all will be forgotten. yeah, i live in a dream world. game tying goals I scored last night: 1(the slump is over!!!)
