ok. spent about half of sunday in COSTCO. i have had enough interaction with the public to last me a lifetime. lessons learned: never go to a bulk food store on a weekend. i also learned some other lessons, like some people really do buy generic coke, a lot of large people shop at bulk food stores, and costco has a pretty casual dress code for employees(thats gotta be a bonus after dealing with all these nimrod shoppers.)
I'm sure that COSTCO is one of those evil empires that I am not supposed to shop at, but there is something just so satisfying by buying toilet cleaner in a 4 pack, toilet paper in a 40 pack, 15 plums in a bag, 2 shrink-wrapped photo albums. I overheard some funny conversations at the wine crates. Some lady was informing another shopper the difference between chianti and merlot. "one is dry, the other is less dry, um i think, or is it the other way around..." where's my sommelier when I need her? they should sell tickets for this.
oh yeah! I went digital! got my new Canon A70 and I'm now ready to enter the world as a digi-photographer. woo hoo.
dollars spent at Costco:323, contact solution bottles purchased: 6.
